Photography has the ability to capture a fleeting moment and in that moment it can trap emotion and relive it agian and again. The skill of the photographer is to find that moment and bathe it in the light that it needs to live. 

I am Stephen Iles, a photographer with a portrait studio based in Swindon town centre, Wiltshire.

Earlier this year I submitted a panel of images to the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers and I am pleased to say they awarded me the level of ‘Licentiateship’.

What does this mean? This means that my work has been judged by esteemed members of the photographic industry to have reached a standard of professional competence. To you that means you can be confident in the work that I will produce for you.

What’s next? I am working towards my ‘Associate’ level where the judges will be looking for a high level of technical ability, imagination, and creativity, in execution & presentation.

The next time you book a photographer, don’t book just on price, look at the images, and qualifications.

If you have a plumber or electrician working in your house they have to be qualified, why not your photographer.
